Destination Sport Group is thrilled to announce a new multi-year partnership with Women’s Elite Rugby (WER), becoming the Official Travel Partner of the premier women’s rugby union competition in the United States.
Launching its inaugural season in 2025, Women’s Elite Rugby (WER) is set to be an exhilarating new league featuring six professional teams competing across the U.S. With the opening round of fixtures kicking off in March, WER will harness the growing interest in rugby in America, with the nation announced as host for the Men’s Rugby World Cup in 2031 and the Women’s Rugby World Cup in 2033.
Destination Sport Travel, the group’s specialist travel management division, will provide proactive support to WER and its six clubs, coordinating flights, accommodation and logistics for travelling teams, alongside business travel support for staff and executives.
As the partnership evolves, Destination Sport Group will also work with WER to create touring opportunities for grassroots rugby-playing organizations and fan travel experiences via its inspiresport and SportsBreaks brands.
President of the league and former rugby sevens national team player, Jessica Hammond-Graf, commented on the announcement:
“Women’s Elite Rugby is thrilled to partner with travel industry leader Destination Sport Travel for all our travel needs for the season. This collaboration will not only provide seamless travel solutions for our teams, but it also demonstrates Destination Sport’s commitment to rugby and the growth of women’s sports.
