New President for North America

Global sports travel specialists Destination Sport Group has taken the next step in its North American expansion, appointing Jeremy Parkins to the role of President – North America.

With a presence across 14 countries, Destination Sport Group is a global leader in sports travel with expertise in travel management for elite sports organisations, fan experiences, youth development tours, hospitality and VIP programmes, endurance and participation travel, and global destination management.

During the past 18-months, Destination Sport has made significant investment into expanding its North American footprint, now holding headquarters in Atlanta, GA and offices in Boston, MA. Destination Sport’s current operations in North America focus on its Destination Sport Travel (travel management for elite sports organisations), inspiresport (youth development tours), Sportsbreaks.com (travel packages and experiences for sports fans) and Destination Sport Experiences (mass-participation travel across cycling, running and triathlon) divisions.

Transitioning from his existing role as North American Chief Operating Officer for two of the Group’s divisions – inspiresport and Sportsbreaks.com – Parkins will lead Destination Sport’s expansion within U.S. and Canada, focusing on new business and strategic growth opportunities across all divisions.

Parkins brings 17+ years of sports industry experience including 12+ years with the Columbus Crew of Major League Soccer as the Executive Director of the Player Development System and Senior Director of Business Operations.

In 2018, Parkins joined Definition XI (trading as Generation adidas International) as Chief Operating Officer, becoming key to the company’s strategy and operations. In 2021, as Generation adidas International became part of inspiresport, Parkins continued to support the businesses’ fast-paced growth, also overseeing additional projects for Destination Sport Group including the North American launch of Sportsbreaks.com and a new group-wide partnership with Major League Rugby.
