Destination Sport Travel has been announced as the Official Travel Supplier to Ultimate Sevens, a new global rugby sevens championship launching in September 2026.
Backed by BIA Sports Group, the team behind Sunderland AFC and the FIM World Supercross Championship, Ultimate Sevens will feature six clubs – each with a men’s and women’s team – and stage four fast-paced tournaments across Cardiff, Madrid, Biarritz and London, bringing together many of the world’s best rugby sevens players in a new-look international competition.
As part of the agreement, Destination Sport Travel will deliver a comprehensive travel and accommodation solution for the championship, supporting the complex movement of teams, players, officials and operational staff throughout the competition.
Destination Sport Travel will manage international flights for players travelling in from across the world, before coordinating onward team movements between host cities across the four consecutive event weekends. The service provision will also include team accommodation, ground transportation and wider travel and accommodation support for match officials and operational personnel – combining specialist team travel, business travel and major event delivery in one end-to-end solution.
The new partnership further strengthens Destination Sport’s relationship with BIA Sports Group, following the existing multi-year partnerships already in place with Sunderland AFC and FIM World Supercross.
The new championship is positioned as a bold reimagining of rugby sevens, and has been officially sanctioned by World Rugby, underlining the credibility and ambition behind the new competition.
